Creative Industries


Chilean creative industries have produced world renowned works that showcase the talent and ability of its people. Internationally recognized poets such as Gabriela Mistral and Pablo Neruda are both recipients of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Gabriela Mistral being the Latin American author to win this award.

Chilean cinema has also been awarded with the highest international recognition, which includes the Oscar for the animated short film “Historia de un Oso” (2016), and the best foreign movie “La Mujer Fantástica” (2018). Cartoonist Gabriel Rodríguez received the 2015 Eisner Award for his work "Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland”.

This sector represents 2.2% of Chile´s GDP and generates around 150,000 jobs. This sector can easily adapt to ever-changing trends and changes within the international market.
