Alcohuaz vineyards are located in the Andes Mountains (Elqui Valley), on the 30th parallel of south latitude, with altitudes ranging from 1,650 to 2,206 meters (5,660 to 8,660 feet). The wines of Alcohuaz are high altitude wines, with the unique effect of the triangulation of three fundamental factors: the sun, the granite soils, and the altitude. The varieties that are developed in Alcohuaz are Syrah, Grenache, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Cariñena, and Touriga Nacional.
